ABOUT THE ITEM
Native American jewelry is known for its handmade designs in sterling silver, often set with turquoise, coral, and other local gems.  Navajo, Zuni, and Hopi are the three main tribes responsible for producing some of the most beautiful, creative and exciting sterling silver jewelry in American history.

Navajo jewelry is known for large, chunky gems bezel-set in sterling silver.  Turquoise, coral, onyx, and other local gems were commonly used in Navajo jewelry.

This vintage, Native American Navajo necklace was handmade in sterling silver with seven (7) bezel set turquoise elk stations.  The 8mm beads are still intact with no visible split seams.  The necklace measures 28 inches long and is fastened by a handmade hook clasp.
