Collection: Padparadscha Sapphire

Padparadscha sapphire is a very rare variety of sapphire whose color is often described as sunset-colored.

Padparadscha sapphire's name is derived from the Sinhalese word for Lotus blossom.  Lotus blossoms are beautiful flowers that were found throughout Sri Lanka, where the gem was originally discovered.

Padparadscha sapphires are currently mined in Sri Lanka (Ceylon), Madagascar, and Tanzania.
