ABOUT THE ITEM
Aquamarine is a beautiful blue gem whose name is derived from a Latin phrase that translates to water of the sea. Aqua is the blue to blue-green variety of beryl. Other varieties of beryl include emerald (green), morganite (pink), and heliodor (yellow). Aquamarine is commonly heated to improve or change its color. Color origin for this gem is currently undeterminable.
Crafted in 14 karat white gold, a beautiful aquamarine centers this split-shank ring. The aqua measures 16.42 x 12.98 x 8.69mm, weighing approximately 13.00 carats, and is a very attractive light blue hue with the slightest hint of green to its body color. It does have some small nicks and scratches that are almost impossible to notice without magnification.
The ring also contains thirty-two (32) round brilliant cut natural diamonds set down the shoulders of the split shank setting, totaling approximately 1/2 carat (G color, SI1 clarity).
Inside the ring is hallmarked "14K".
Present ring size is 5 3/4, but can be adjusted by your local jeweler.
Please Note: There is evidence of a prior ring sizing at the ring shank.
