This is an original, antique bar pin from the Edwardian Era, circa 1901-1915. The pin features one (1) rose cut rhodolite garnet (described below) set in a ten prong basket setting. Please note that several prong tips are damaged, but the gem is still secure. Half pearls are set along the bar as well as in a halo, framing the rhodolite. These pearls are natural pearls that were sawn in half! The brooch is fastened by a tension pin with handmade, stylized C-catch. The brooch is not hallmarked, but tests solid 18 karat and weighs 6 grams. Please note the minor damage to the gallery of the brooch. |
