This Mid Century vintage brooch features natural amethyst & seed pearls set in solid 14 karat gold.
The brooch contains twelve (12) natural amethysts. These oval cut amethysts average 7 x 5mm, with varying depths. They total approximately 7 carats, and have been routinely heated to achieve their bright purple hue.
The brooch also contains twelve (12) half-drilled and posted seed pearls, averaging 3mm in diameter.
Overall measurements of the brooch are 42 x 36mm.
The brooch is fastened by a pin with round hinge and early handmade safety catch.
